County Development Coordinator

It was great meeting with you today (the LAA Committee meeting) and thank you for your interest in the Archery GB Development Programme.

Here is a brief description of my role and what I am aiming to achieve within this role.

County Development Co-ordinators (CDCs) are volunteers who act as key development contacts around the country. They are here to offer support and advice to anyone who is interested in growing and developing archery. They are part of the Development Team who are helping to implement current National Development Plan. I also work closely with County Sports Partnerships and some school partnerships and several sport development councils without Lancashire.

I am also putting together a data base of clubs who have development needs, ranging from finding indoor and outdoor facilities, grants for refurbishment or any other developmental needs that each club feels it would benefit them.

Further information can be found here.

On-Target Grants

From time to time small grants are available and also large substantial grants are planned for 2013. To increase your chances to apply it is in all clubs interest to be part of On-Target. The online application can be found here.

Dear Archery Clubs,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself: My name is Norman Suchorzewski and I have recently been elected as the CDC (County Development Coordinator) for Lancashire.

My role is to work closely with the development team at Archery GB, our local county sports partnerships (CSP) and archery clubs throughout Lancashire.

I would highly recommend that all clubs register with Archery GBs Ontarget Scheme. This can bring many benefits to all clubs this includes financial grants; help with club growth and to be part of their facility strategy.

Currently funding within archery is limited, but saying this, the next round for substantial funding will take place in 2013. Ontarget are putting together a database of requirements throughout all Ontarget Clubs, this will enable them to put forward a proposal to Sport England, to prove that substantial funding is required. Please make every effort to ensure that your needs are highlighted.

If your club would like me to send updates from Ontarget , CSPs and other organisations, please email me and make yourselves known.

I look forward to working with you and to help develop Archery in Lancashire.
